free game: Beginning the next week, Iratus: Lord of the Dead will be available for free download from the Epic Games Store. This game is being marketed as a friendlier, more necromantic take on Darkest Dungeon.
Every Thursday, the Epic Games Store makes a selection of brand-new games available for free download to personal computers. This week, the digital versions of both “A Game of Thrones: The Board Game” and “Car Mechanic Simulator 2018” are available for purchase. Status: Lord of the Dead is the name of a tactical role-playing game from the year 2020 that we will be delving into the following week.
If you are acquainted with Darkest Dungeon, you may think of Iratus as a mirror image of that game played backward. In Iratus: Lord of the Dead, you don’t begin your journey by delving further into the caverns that lie beneath a mansion; rather, you begin your journey well below ground. You play the role of a necromancer, and your objective is to break out of your eerie underground vault so that you may bring death and ruin to the helpless people who live above ground.
In order to accomplish this goal, you will want the assistance of your devoted army of undead servants, who may consist of any of the following: skeletons, banshees, ghouls, and pretty much anything else that is now undergoing active decomposition. This is the teaser for the movie.
Status is more focused on jumping from combat to combat than Darkest Dungeon was, and you won’t be making the same emotional investment in the characters. This may come as a bit of a relief, given that Darkest Dungeon can be pretty overwhelming at times. Iratus, on the other hand, is more focused on moving quickly from one fight to the next.
Beginning on June 30 at 8 a.m. PST, 11 a.m. EST, and 6 p.m. BST, you will be able to obtain a complimentary copy of Iratus: Lord of the Dead through the Epic Games Store.
