After flying to Dublin and renting a car, she has an accident. During her investigation, the protagonist of Nancy Drew: The Haunting of Mulloy Castle stumbles upon mysterious swamps and magic rings that provide more clues about Matt’s sudden disappearance. While investigating, she also discovers the castle’s troubled past and its secrets that have been hidden for years. To start the adventure, a small selection of rooms is available for exploration, but then it becomes possible to explore the entire area.
The game uses an advanced point-and-click interface. The cursor changes when there is an item to interact with or a character to address, while an icon for the inventory is displayed at the bottom of the screen, as well as journal entries and a task list.
